Random Thought. | Random Trip.
3 Districts | 500 kms | 10 Hours
Yeah! Wanderlust can take a man to some random places on spontaneous notices. Woke up early this dusk and decided to visit Charbhuja. Departed from Ajmer it took 5 hours to reach the destination; since the place is a religious site it has nothing much to offer other than some narrow streets, low slung balconies, centenarian houses and typical Indian countryside landscape and Yeah! Tea. (that was very fine) The real deal was the route to the place; Hills, Ponds, Rivers, Dwarf Waterfalls, Dunes, Terrace Farms, historic fortresses and watch points (the remains of the great Rajput kingdom of Chittorgarh, Udaipur and Kumbhalgarh) , wildlife (Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Reserve) and ofcourse smooth roads with minimum traffic will Wow! you. The place being unexploited and less explored provides a perfect atmosphere for landscape, nature and wildlife photographers. I’d recommend not to visit this place if you’re commuting by a public transport (which unfortunately I did) and you are alone (Check-Check); the reason being if you’re travelling by a personal vehicle you can stop by at any place and capture some awesome frames; but I strongly advice to travel with a mate so that rather than keeping your eyes on the road, you can let them wander like a lost puppy and if you’re a camper, this place will be a heaven for you. A fine day away from the noise and smoke of the city, explored a new place, mapped a new route and pinned some new destinations; comes to an end but with the desire to be at this place once again with my kinsfolk and a personal vehicle for sure. It’s a pity that I couldn’t snap up the photographs of the route, but that’s fine as it’ll give me an excuse to be here again.
Best Season to Visit: July to October.
